Grimsby is a town located on Lake Ontario in the Niagara Region. Part of the Hamilton
Census Metropolitan Area, the majority of its residents reside in the area bounded by Lake
Ontario and the majestic and geographically distinct Niagara Escarpment.
Acting as a mid-point between Hamilton and St. Catherines the town of Grimsby has
experienced significant growth over the past decade. That said, growth in the town is somewhat
limited due in part to its natural boundaries of Lake Ontario and the Niagara Escarpment as well
as its location within the Greenbelt, which under the Greenbelt Plan, has permanently frozen
Grimsby’s urban boundaries.
Limited urban and commercial development, however, is something that many of the
town’s residents have come to appreciate as they believe Grimsby to be ‘a little
slice of heaven,’ making it a special place in which to work and live. Although situated
less than an hour’s drive from Toronto’s world-class cultural scene, Grimsby
views itself as the epitome of a small town. This is evident when one visits this conveniently
rural locale, consisting of many parks and recreation areas, tree lined avenues of its residential
areas with the natural Niagara Escarpment winding through the towns centre, not to mention the
beautiful beaches on the shores of Lake Ontario. It’s no wonder why the town’s
population of 19,000 strong are proud to call Grimsby ‘home.’
A great place to live, the town of Grimsby is growing in popularity due to its rural feel,
but close proximity to the city of Toronto. If you or someone you know are looking to sell
your Grimsby home, a great way to maximize the return on your investment, is to consider
private home sales by listing your property for sale by owner. This option has helped many
people selling their home by owner to save thousands of dollars every year, many via a flat fee
MLS® listing. By choosing a company with a proven track record, listing on MLS®
offers you the support and exposure you need all the while helping you to retain as much money
from the sale of your home as possible.
